Literature Text

I’m the one with the black hair
Spikes, scars and
cigarette burns
heavy eyeliner
smell like sex
and rock and roll.

I’m the rebel
With, without a cause, doesn’t
Matter
As soon as I turn 18
Tattoos and piercings will change me
From what my parents’ God
“made me to be”.

Play me loud music
I’ll smoke strong cigarettes
Hard liquor, harder drugs
Make me crazier than anything
You’ve seen- friends say
I’ll be dead before eighteen.
You know what they call me?
A rebel.
About the 'rebel' stereotype in the U.S.. while I do have some aspects of this person, she's an extreme example. Inspired by the 'Story of a Tattoo' show on FUSE. Cause I rock like that. James Dean photo courtesy artpages.com
